Timeline
The Development Journey of Carbon Watch
2021 - Satellite Technology for Change
We began focusing on Earth observation satellite technology, forming a dedicated team to develop solutions using satellite data combined with AI and ML. This enhanced the nation’s ability to tackle challenges across various sectors.
2022 - Committed to Reducing Carbon with Satellite Technology
We committed to environmental responsibility and took steps to reduce carbon emissions. We developed a carbon stock baseline assessment using satellite data and AI, speeding up forest monitoring. We then submitted this technology to the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (TGO) for review.
2023 - Continuous Development of the Model
We continued to improve our carbon stock baseline assessment with support from the Mae Fah Luang Foundation, a leader in forest conservation. Our model was submitted to TGO and reviewed by experts across multiple fields, with accuracy validated through field surveys. Additionally, we began developing a wildfire tracking system to enhance fire detection and damage assessment.
2024 - TGO Certification and the Launch of CarbonWatch
TGO officially certified our carbon stock baseline assessment model. In response, we launched “CarbonWatch,” a comprehensive platform supporting projects aligned with TGO’s sustainability goals.
